Lentils in Whitehall, MT

On December 14th, MSU Extension and the National Center for Appropriate Technology teamed together to present on December’s Harvest of the Month Product, Lentils in Whitehall Elementary. Each afterschool group of K-5th graders participated in a true/false lentil facts game after watching the Lentil HOM video, made their own lentil hummus with a mortar and pestle, taste tested three varieties of original and holiday hummus AND made lentil art based on what they are grateful for this holiday season. MT is the number one producer of lentils in the US! Let’s celebrate them!
