Join Land to Hand, National Center for Appropriate Technology, North Valley Food Bank, MT Farm to School, Grow Montana, and partners for the third of four Farm to School Workshops on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 9am to 4pm at Glacier Gateway Elementary in Columbia Falls! Harvest of the Month in the Flathead will feature training on how to use Harvest of the Month to promote Montana grown and raised foods in your community and work with partners to increase access to local foods. There will be two tour routes. One group will stay in Columbia Falls to check out Falls Farm Co-Op and the Wildcat Garden, while the other group will head to Whitefish to tour the Center for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship and North Valley Food Bank. Along with trainings and tours, there will be time for networking, taste testing local foods, and action planning. Lunch will be provided.
Anyone interested in increasing opportunities for nutritious, Montana-grown food in their community should attend this event. The event is FREE, but people must register, as there are a limited number of spots.
